Classic Clubmans
In addition to racing Classic FF1600 & FF2000 single seaters, the team also own, prepare and race an "A" Class Classic Clubmans Car.
This car has be family owned for over 30 years, and has been driven with notable success by Reg Powell since 1979.
The car is eligible for the BARC Classic Clubmans Championship, and the HSCC Derek Bell Trophy series.
It is powered by a similar engine to the FF1600, namely the Ford OHV Kent engine. However unlike the FF engine it is fully tuned, uses Cosworth components, twin 45DCOE Webber Carburettors, and produces about 170 BHP, enabling the car to reach speeds of 150 MPH.
The car has been completely re-built to better than original condition and is the original Stuart Glass / Andy Diamond car. The reason it is called the Pink Panther as my car is, is that originally it had connections with the Disney Corporation, and it seamed a good idea at the time. We have retained the character of the car, the name and colour scheme.
